Latino Leadership, in partnership with Children's Champions and the Florida Department of Education , has established the Latino Leadership Parent Resource Center to provide empowerment opportunities for parents in Central Florida. Through the PRC, Latino Leadership provides one-on-one counseling on school choice, parent workshops on the importance of parental involvement, and advocacy opportunities for parents in Central Florida.

Step Up for Students Scholarships:
Step Up For Students is the administering organization of the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship program. Last year, nearly 29,000 underprivileged students benefitted from the scholarship in Florida and we anticipate serving 32,000 this coming school year.
The scholarship has been available in Florida since 2002, and if a family’s income qualifies them for the Free Reduced Lunch program, then they will likely qualify for the Step Up For Students Scholarship worth $4,106.
The scholarship can be used at more than 1,200 private K-12 schools throughout the state or a family can elect to use a $500 transportation scholarship to attend an out-of-district public school.
Step Up For Students is in the unique position of having funds available for new scholarships and they are currently partnering with Latino Leadership to bring awareness to the scholarship program in several counties through the state, including Orange.
