• Engage apartment complexes in dialogue to establish a “retaliation-free” zone during census time.
• Host “Census Corner” walk-in centers at Latino Leadership and at partner CBOs to assist with completion of Census forms.
• Provide “Train the Trainer” sessions for key elected, appointed, religious, community leaders, and CBOs.
• Train volunteers from partner CBOs to conduct outreach through community events, canvassing, and staffing Census Corners in each of seven counties.
• Plan and host a statewide Immigrant Leaders Roundtable with community leaders and partnering CBOs to discuss and combat Census negative messaging.
• Utilize relationships with Ya Es Hora, National institute for Latino Policy, and Governor’s Complete Count Committee to support Census outreach work.
