Our History:
Latino Leadership, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization established as a community-based presence in the Greater Orlando Area to develop and administer permanent programs that promote the integration of the Hispanic community into mainstream America.
Our motto is “Reaching out to Our People through Knowledge.” Using “knowledge” as the principal tool, Latino Leadership has delivered essential, timely information to the community. This multifaceted agency’s focus extends from the empowerment of individuals in the democratic process, through nonpartisan voter registration drives and working relationships with government officials, to the enhancement of the Hispanic community in the educational sector.
Latino Leadership has documented experience with focus groups, marketing campaigns, conferences, and workshops along with radio and TV shows to showcase specific issues that affect the Hispanic community. These focuses are transcended through various programs that Latino Leadership has sponsored.
Marytza Sanz and a group of community leaders established Latino Leadership in 1999, with a vision for Central Florida. Later in 2001, Latino Leadership received its incorporation. To date, Latino Leadership, Inc. is the largest Hispanic community in Central Florida, with a long list of national partners like the National Council of La Raza, the National Puerto Rican Coalition (NPRC), the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC), LULAC, the Institute of Hispanic Health, and the Rollins College Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership Center.
