Voter registration, voter education, and GOTV efforts are the most important mandates of the organization. Latino Leadership has sponsored and organized together in partnership with organizations such as the National Council of La Raza and LULAC, a series of political forums, debates, and election protection programs to encourage and motivate minority communities and young adults to participate in the democratic process.
New Voices in the Political Process is a civic engagement program in partnership with NCLR and LULAC. New Voices... aims to register and provide voter education for new citizens, young adults, and once marginalized communities.
Latino Leadership and Global Civis have set a goal of registering 300 new voters by October 6, 2008. These new voters will be invited to the New Voices in the Political Puzzle voter education forum scheduled for October 19, 2008 from 2:00 - 5:00 pm.
